Job Description:
Looking for an experienced individual who can work in a fast-paced environment, is self-motivated, and a positive team member. One who is highly skilled in placing material orders, emergency buys, setting up purchase orders, tracking status and deliveries to completion. Multi-tasking is essential working in a fast-paced environment in support of Maintenance craftsmen, production down scenarios and multi-cross functional team support. Budget tracking and stockroom support for orders and resolution of issues. Tracking and staying within approved budgets and maintaining a safe workplace environment.
Essential Functions:
- Lead Maintenance Focal for material buys inclusive of machine down emergencies & critical spares in support of craftsman work orders
- Main focal for stockroom support in partnership with Stock Room Control Clerk: monitor orders, statuses, pricing, delivery of stock, min/max issues, track and ensure return costs are booked, and approve invoices with accuracy
- Analyze complex problems and evaluate alternatives for sound recommendations.
- Place orders in current system (ARIBA), obtain approvals and place emergency credit cards buys, and set–up long-term purchase orders for recurring buys
- Lead Focal for chemical material buy support: maintain database/handbook, SDS monitoring with EH&S approvals, research possible replacements, input material change requests, track status of orders and change requests
- Lead Focal for material return rack working with external suppliers to assess and rework critical parts
- Responsible for gas/diesel orders and ensure timely deliveries thereof.
- Responsible for verification and approval lease payments
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Experience in placing material orders and tracking thereof
- Experience in ordering systems, processing requisitions and tracking until purchase orders are placed are received.
- Experience in handling invoices for tracking and payment approval processes.
- Proficiency in planning, organizing, and ability to support several issues & priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); SAP, MAESTRO, Maximo, etc. (strongly recommended)
- Familiarity with trade skills
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills in dealing with multi-cross functional teams
- Teaming skills to work in an internal/external teaming environment.
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Self-motivation and results driven
- Work and adjust in a dynamic changing environment and work in an office setting.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $27.40/hr - $50.96/hr.
