Job Description:

We are looking for an Associate, Finance who is an experienced professional with proficient and practical knowledge of Accounts Receivable Billing.  Our ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver who can communication effectively within various teams and possesses accurate data entry skills and an eye for detail.  

Essential Functions:

70% - Prepares project billing for government contracts. Reviews and understands basic contract documents and accounting memos as it relates to billing requirements. Ensures all billings are done accurately and timely. Works with business and contract team members to determine the proper billings based on the progress of each contract and contract requirements. Completes reconciliations to support billing/cash questions. 

 20% - Prepares final contract close-out billings and pre-final billings for contracts with cancelling funds.  Serves as a liaison between business and contract team members.  Ensures compliance with company policies, directives and work procedures including government contract accounting and project billings.  Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

10% - Provides support to company’s external and internal auditors.  Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or related field with 0-1 years prior relevant experience or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of customer invoice billing and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Prior experience with Accounts Receiveable.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is [$59,000.00 -$110,000.00]. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is [$51,000.00 - $95,000.00].
