Job Description:
Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris segment, is hiring for a Production Control Supervisor. This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily and weekly inventory activities within the manufacturing facility. The Production Control Supervisor ensures that production schedules are met, resources are utilized efficiently, and production targets are achieved in a timely manner through ensuring materials are delivered to Operations when they are needed. This role works closely with various departments including procurement, planning, scheduling, production, and quality control to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Resource Management: Coordinate the allocation of resources, and materials, to ensure that production goals are met. Identify and address any resource constraints that may impact production.
· Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels of buy materials to ensure that adequate supplies are available for production.
· Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team through providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
· Coordination and Communication: Liaise with other departments such as production, quality control, and logistics to ensure smooth operations. Communicate production plans and schedules to relevant stakeholders. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet production deadlines. May require occasional travel up to 20% to other company sites or supplier locations.
· Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports for key metrics such as on-time delivery, efficiency, and inventory levels.
· Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all production activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of safety and ensure that safety protocols are followed. May occasionally need to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years manufacturing experience.
In lieu of a degree: Minimum of 6 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Desired Skills:

· Proficiency in production planning software (Oracle) and ERP systems.
· Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Certifications: APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
