Job Description:

 

The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Specialist, Program Manager to support our Missile Solutions Sector at our or Camden, AR facility.  The Program Manager will assist in directing all phases of programs from proposal development through completion.  Drives program action to achieve business and financial objectives for orders, revenue, profit, and cash flow for an existing program.  Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance for designated project areas working with a program lead or manager to achieve results.  Acts as customer contact for program activities, leading review sessions with customers for assigned aspects of proposal development, negotiations, and execution.  Assists in coordinating program support, production, and supply chain teams to ensure on time and on budget deliveries.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Works under supervision with responsibility for project or process within the job area.

  • Communicates with contacts within and outside organization (e.g. customers, suppliers, etc.) for execution of the program objectives.

  • Manages the cost and schedule of their projects to ensure financial well-being of the overall program and division.

  • Works alongside financial team for requirements of financial, manpower, and supply chain forecasting, reporting, and variance justification.

  • Responsible for developing and monitoring/updating program integrated master schedule (IMS) consistent with the program plan.

  • Responsible for briefing customer and management on all facets of assigned projects.  Frequent customer and management interaction is routine.

  • Coordinates new business pursuits for development and production activities within the project area working with departments to define all costs associated with future business.

  • Up to 15% business travel to other L3Harris and customer sites.

  • Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearence. 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant program management experience, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related program management experience, or 10 years of prior related program management experience in lieu of a degree.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Experience with DoD contract execution.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Word).

  • Working knowledge of general production systems/methods and lean manufacturing principles.
