Job Description:

 We are seeking a skilled Process Safety Manager to join our growing facility located in Camden, AR to lead and manage our company’s process safety initiatives and programs.  The primary responsibilities include developing and implementing safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and have a deep understanding of process safety management principles and practices, as well as industry-specific safety regulations.  The role of the Process Safety Manager is to ensure the work environment meets all safety and health requirements and to adequately train staff on safety procedures and protocols.

 

Essential Functions:

 

·       Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management.

·       Primary responsibility for conducting process hazard analysis (PHA’s) as well as being the engineering point person for explosive safety considerations.

·       Conduct analysis of processes for explosive safety, generate technical reports and present those in formal settings.

·       Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in the workplace.

·       Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.

·       Perform risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.

·       Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

·       Lead incident investigations and develop reports outlining findings.

·       Facilitate safety training sessions for employees and managers.

·       Monitor the implementation of safety initiatives and programs.

·       Provide guidance and advice on technical and process safety issues.

·       Ensure emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place.

·       Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Manufacturing Engineer experience.
  • Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineer experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineer experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Proven experience as a Process Safety Manager or similar role in a related field.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Experience with conducting safety audits and inspections.
  • Proficient in conducting risk assessments and implementing preventative measures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. CSP, CIH).
  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
  • Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety.
  • BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred.
