Job Description:
We are seeking a Sr. Associate, Manufacturing Engineer with a foundation understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and standardizing SPC across multiple programs and departments in our manufacturing facility. They will need to develop PowerBI Dashboards, PowerApps, & PowerAutomate flows that will assist in monitoring, analyzing, and providing professional recommendations to improve our manufacturing processes that will ensure product quality and process efficiency. Work is guided by individual annual goals and objectives with minimal oversight or direction. Frequently responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees across the Company within area of expertise. Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products.
Essential Functions:
- Foundation knowledge in implementing SPC Methodologies.
- Monitors and analyzes current manufacturing processes using PowerBI, or PowerApps to capture variations, identify trends, and show possible areas for improvement.
- Develop and coordinate implementation of new manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes with program engineers.
- Capable of representing an organization as a technical contact and interact with program teams and leadership.
- Manages large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction.
- Effectively communicates with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, and other considerations to facilitate and improve production processes.
- Provides input into new products/processes or tools and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineering experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in statistical software and tools (e.g., PowerBI, PowerApps, Minitab, JMP, Induction Automation or similar).
- Knowledge of MRP systems.
- Knowledge of MES/Electronic Work Instruction Platforms.
- Knowledge and application of continuous improvement philosophy, methodology, and tools.
- Technical problem solving and RCCA process.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to successfully engage in multiple programs simultaneously over an extended period of time.
- Expereince working with MS Office – (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) & Minitab Statistical Software.
- Microsoft Power Tools Experience, such as but not limited to PowerBI, PowerApps, Microsoft Lists, and Power Automate.
- Ability to read, interpret complex engineering drawings with proper application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with Titan Enterprise systems and Palantir for Data extraction.
- Familiarity with Delmia Manufacturing Execution System, Maestro MRP systems, PLM systems such as Windchill and Creo 3D Modeling Programs.
