Job Description:

 

L3Harris is seeking a Specialist, Procurement as it continues to develop and establish a foothold in the rapidly growing market space for Maritime Integration. This role is an integral member of the cross-functional team, responsible for supporting Subcontract acquisition activities from the proposal stage through Program award and execution. The acquisition value stream includes requirements definition, sourcing, negotiation and definitization, acceptance and subcontract close-out.

 

  • Works under the general supervision of the Manager of Procurement.
  • Previous experience and strong working knowledge with working with suppliers for problem resolution and on time delivery.
  • Works closely with engineering, planning, and program leadership to drive successful completion of Customer milestone activities and on time customer deliveries.
  • Advises planning, program, and supply chain leadership on risks and mitigation strategies for items purchased.
  • Ensures our supplier base meets our program needs with capabilities and depth.
  • Ensures appropriate purchasing activities are compliant and properly utilized to meet all established work objectives.
  • Interfaces with other departments as required to control and coordinate workflow.
  • Ensures appropriate compliance for maintaining AS9100 Certification.
  • Ensures compliance to all FAR & DFARS regulations and the maintaining of an approved Purchasing System in support of CPSR (Contractor Procurement System Review).

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Motivated self-starter with an understanding of Procurement.
  • Ability to successfully navigate tactical issues with some degree of autonomy, while consulting witth leadership on matters of strategic program importance as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide array of professional levels and functions.
  • Ability to navigate FAR/DFARS regulations and internal procedures for compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including work within the team to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload. 
  • Domestic travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Requires proficient knowledge of job area. May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Experience writing, issuing, and negotiating RFPs, and NDA’s.

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Experience supporting Government FAR, DFARS, regulations with Certified Purchasing System Reviews.
  • CPIM, CSCP, CPSM preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $71,500-132,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
