Job Description:
We are looking for a Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer (Statistical Process Control) to join our expanding team in Camden, AR. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing Manufacturing Engineering Metrics and Automation projects utilizing various Microsoft Power Suite Applications. They will communicate with both internal and external customers, define and develop manufacturing engineering tools, strategies, and systems, and oversee their transfer.
The candidate will develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes, work with cross-functional teams to create tools that enhance productivity and efficiency, estimate and track manufacturing costs, establish time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines. Additionally, they will maintain records and reporting systems to coordinate manufacturing operations.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, implement, and analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) metrics using Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI.
- Data mine using Snowflake to extract, transform, and load data for analysis.
- Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions related to SPC and data analytics.
- Identify and implement process improvements and projects using data-driven insights.
- Establish root cause and corrective actions using statistical methodologies and structured problem-solving tools.
- Support production validation builds by providing data analytics insights on new or modified processes.
- Oversee the integration of data analytics tools and dashboards to enhance manufacturing operations.
- Define and implement production system standards, including staffing models, ensuring data-driven decisions.
- Provide training and support to Engineers and Technicians on SPC and data analytics tools and methodologies.
- Maintain records and reporting systems to ensure effective coordination of manufacturing operations through data analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant engineer experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineer experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related engineer experience
- 4 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Data Analytics or related roles.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- Experience in Microsoft Power Suite applications (e.g., Power Apps, Power BI).
- Experience in automation and data analytics.
- Self-starter who is able to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes, technical standards, and assembly equipment.
- Understanding of Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of data mining with Snowflake is a plus.
