Job Description:

 

We are looking for a Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer to join our expanding team in Camden, AR. The Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing manufacturing engineering plans and projects, and communicating these plans to internal and external customers. This role involves defining, developing, and transferring manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems. The Specialist will also develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes, actively participate with engineering project teams to coordinate the release of new products, estimate and track manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines. Additionally, the Specialist will maintain records and reporting systems to coordinate manufacturing operations.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Makes moderate enhancements or improvements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.
  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
  • Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
  • May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area.
  • May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.
  • May manage projects at this level with responsibility for the delegation of work and the review of others' work product.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience.
  • 2 years of experience utilizing statistical process control.
  • 1 year of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
