Job Description:

The Senior Supervisor, Industrial Security, will develop and administer security policies and procedures for handling classified, sensitive, or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Your responsibilities will include researching, interpreting, and implementing federal security regulations, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of interdisciplinary compliance requirements in areas such as finance, cyber security, information technology, and trade compliance.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified, sensitive, or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
  • Research, interpret, and implement federal security regulations, ensuring comprehensive compliance.
  • Maintain awareness of interdisciplinary compliance requirements across finance, cyber security, information technology, and trade compliance.
  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for regulatory compliance from relevant government agencies.
  • Prepare detailed manuals outlining regulations and establish standardized procedures for handling, storing, and retaining records.
  • Establish protocols for personnel and visitor access to restricted records and materials.
  • Conduct security education training sessions and regular security audits to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Investigate security infractions/violations, prepare detailed reports, and recommend and implement preventive actions.
  • Collect, assimilate, and interpret compliance and workplace risks, and disseminate it to appropriate stakeholders or investigating authorities.
  • Supervises lower-level professionals and/or higher-level support.
  • Communicates with parties inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Makes moderate improvements to processes, systems, and solutions.
  • Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with moderate impact on department results.
  • Understands basic management approaches and has proficient knowledge of job area.
  • Maintain oversight of day-to-day operations with key focus on physical security, document control, PERSEC, security awareness training, and other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • USG Security Clearance Required
