Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer with specialized expertise in artificial intelligence tool development, training, and implementation to join our digital transformation team. This senior-level position requires a professional who can bridge traditional manufacturing engineering excellence with cutting-edge AI capabilities, particularly within Palantir Foundry and advanced analytics platforms. The candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying, and training others on AI-driven solutions that optimize manufacturing processes, enhance decision-making, and drive measurable ROI across multiple programs and departments.

As a Level 4 Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and implement manufacturing engineering plans and projects of strategic importance, define and transfer advanced AI/ML tools and strategies, and serve as a subject matter expert in digital transformation initiatives. This role requires minimal oversight and demands the ability to influence organizational direction through innovative AI applications integrated with Statistical Process Control (SPC), MES, ERP systems, and advanced analytics platforms.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Expert-level proficiency in developing and implementing advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies enhanced with AI-driven anomaly detection and predictive analytics across multiple programs and departments
  • Develops, deploys, and trains others on artificial intelligence and machine learning tools using Palantir Foundry, Python, and advanced analytics platforms to solve complex manufacturing challenges, predict process variations, and optimize production efficiency
  • Monitors and analyzes current manufacturing processes using AI-enhanced PowerBI Dashboards, PowerApps, and advanced analytics to capture variations, identify trends, predict quality outcomes, and proactively recommend improvements before issues occur
  • Develops and coordinates implementation of new manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes that leverage AI capabilities, digital twin technology, and advanced data analytics with program engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Capable of representing the organization as a senior technical expert and subject matter authority, interacting with program teams, executive leadership, and external stakeholders on AI/digital transformation initiatives and advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Manages large, complex, cross-functional project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization involving AI implementation, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing technologies with minimal oversight or direction
  • Provides expert guidance, coaching, and formal training to engineers and cross-functional teams across the Company on AI tool development, Palantir Foundry, advanced analytics methodologies, and digital manufacturing best practices
  • Integrates AI solutions with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms to create seamless data flow, intelligent decision support systems, and real-time process optimization across manufacturing operations
  • Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs using AI-driven cost modeling and predictive analytics, determines time standards through data-driven analysis, and makes strategic recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field AND a minimum of 6 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience with demonstrated AI/ML application OR Graduate Degree (Master's or PhD preferred in Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field) with a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in AI/ML tool development and implementation.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in advanced statistical software and tools (e.g., PowerBI, PowerApps, Minitab, JMP, Induction Automation or similar).
  • Experience with cloud-based AI platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI) and their integration with manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge and application of continuous improvement philosophy, methodology, and tools.
  • Experience with Industrial IoT platforms and data historians (Ignition SCADA, OSIsoft PI, or similar) for real-time data acquisition.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to successfully engage in multiple programs simultaneously over an extended period of time.
  • Experience working with MS Office – (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Microsoft Power Tools Experience, such as but not limited to PowerBI, PowerApps, Microsoft Lists, Power Automate etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings with proper application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with Titan Enterprise systems and Palantir for Data extraction.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems, MRP systems, and PLM systems.
