Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager to lead quality assurance operations and drive excellence across our defense programs. This strategic leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction while managing quality teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Senior Quality Manager will serve as a key liaison between customers, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to maintain L3Harris's reputation for delivering mission-critical solutions that meet the most stringent quality requirements.

The Senior Quality Manager provides executive-level oversight of quality management systems, processes, and personnel across assigned business units or programs. This role requires a seasoned quality professional who can balance strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving in a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment.

In this capacity, you will direct all aspects of quality assurance including manufacturing quality, inspection operations, and quality engineering. You will be accountable for maintaining AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications, ensuring compliance with FAA and DoD regulations, and meeting contractual quality requirements for complex defense systems and aerospace products.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven expertise in leading cross-functional teams, managing customer quality relationships, and implementing data-driven quality improvement initiatives. You will work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain leadership to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle—from design and development through production, delivery, and field support.

This position demands strong technical knowledge of aerospace/defense manufacturing processes, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or related technical field and a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience in quality management in aerospace, defense, propulsion systems, or a related high-reliability manufacturing environment. Graduate Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Quality Management and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

·         Demonstrated experience managing quality operations.

·         Proven track record leading Material Review Board (MRB) activities and nonconformance resolution.

·         Hands-on experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace quality management system standards.

·         Background in document control systems and configuration management practices.

·         Experience interfacing with government customers (DoD, NASA, FAA) and managing customer quality requirements.

·         Knowledge of inspection methods, precision measurement, and calibration systems for aerospace components.

·         Experience with quality cost management and budget administration
