Job Description:

 

Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking a Senior Associate, Quality Analyst to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. Responsible for the identification and documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. Leads the preparation and execution of internal audits within established manufacturing and production controls to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and standards. Liaises with auditing groups and inspectors to develop formal written reports, and recommend corrective actions. Identifies trends in discrepancies and collaborates with process owners on the refinement and optimization of business processes. Oversees testing department activities and work of inspectors. Reviews, approves, and controls work order flow tags. Develops inspection techniques, tools, and supplemental inspection instructions in support of standards, methods and procedures. Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including: customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Intermediate professional with practical knowledge of job area.
  • Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area. Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures Identifies and addresses changes within own job area.
  • Assists department in handling, organizing, and maintaining shipping documentation.
  • Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects or assignments. 
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area, which has impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.
  • Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized.
  • Propose solutions to problems for others review.

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Quality experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related Quality experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related Quality experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain 5S+1 work area and implement and enforce Lean manufacturing principles.
