Job Description:

The Senior Associate, Inventory Management supports shipping and logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of program hardware and materials. This role is responsible for executing shipping transactions in SAP, coordinating logistics activities across multiple work centers, and ensuring all documentation and shipment requirements are completed in accordance with company procedures and customer expectations.

The position works closely with production, program teams, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure shipments are processed efficiently and meet schedule commitments. The individual will support operational goals related to on-time delivery, shipment accuracy, and compliance with internal processes and customer requirements.

This role requires strong attention to detail, system proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple shipping activities within a fast-paced operational environment. 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all shipping transactional requirements in SAP.
  • Enters shipping information into customer and logistic platforms.
  • Creates shipping labels and other required shipping documentation and secures for shipment.
  • Coordinate workflow through multiple work centers to secure needed resources while ensuring customer demands and schedule deadlines are met.
  • Keeps electronic shipping documentation records.
  • Sends electronic shipping documentation to internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicates status to stakeholders, including organizational leadership and multifunctional teams.
  • Demonstrates operational discipline and ownership.
  • Interfaces effectively with people at all levels and from diverse technical backgrounds.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with 2 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of relevant logistics, shipping, or inventory management experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management, shipping/receiving operations, and logistics coordination within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems (preferably SAP) to process shipping transactions and maintain inventory records.
  • Ability to analyze operational issues and implement solutions using established processes and procedures.
  • Proven ability to work independently under moderate supervision and support departmental operational targets.
  • Strong communication, organization, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and skills within SAP with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization
  • Previous experience with military shipments is desired
  • Experience with lean initiatives or process improvement
  • Experience supporting defense or government shipments.
  • Familiarity with logistics documentation, transportation coordination, or export-controlled shipments.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $57,500 - $107,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
