Job Description:
The Senior Associate, Industrial Security, will play a key role in supporting a comprehensive industrial security program within a team environment. Their primary responsibilities include assisting with general security education, providing guidance/direction to the contract guard force, supporting site physical security requirements, locksmithing, and coordinating responses to alarms, emergencies, and threats. They will also oversee visitor and personnel access control. The candidate must be capable of supporting multiple programs or tasks, providing general assistance across all security functions in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Additionally, they must maintain professional interactions with a broad cross-section of government and prime customers as well as sub-contractors.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee daily operations of the contract guard force to include the review of invoices, policies, procedures, and post records.
- Act as the primary point of contact for site access control and visitor control management, including the management of the site badging and visitor management software/terminals.
- Provide general guidance and monitor contract guard(s) performing locksmithing duties, including aiding in changing combination locks, re-coring locks, cutting keys, and managing locksmith inventories.
- Serve as the site security training coordinator and lead the Security Awareness and OPSEC program.
- Assist in developing or reviewing internal policies and procedures applicable to the physical security of the site.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing changes to enhance the effectiveness of security programs.
- Support compliance of the overall security program for the facility under moderate supervision.
- Support the site Crisis Management team, On-Scene Incident Command, and the Emergency Operations Center as needed.
- Undertake additional assignments in support of department and site objectives.
- Offer limited cross-functional support to all team members.
- Assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO), HR, and/or Ethics with site investigations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Active Secret Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Be able to work under moderate supervision
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
- Ability to analyze complex security problems and provide focused solutions to accomplish program objectives.
