Job Description:
The Engineering Operations organization within the Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) Segment is seeking an experienced Engineer who will lead the Engineering Talent Programs Pipeline, Engineering & Technology Awards planning, and lead continueing education initiatives for the Engineering population within IMS. The ideal candidate must have the ability to influence, foster collaboration, teamwork, and interface across disciplines and functions.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of the engineering career development framework, including best practices for talent development, career progression, and skill assessments.
- Facilitate career coaching sessions and host career development discussions to ensure talent pipeline members create career development plans for themselves
- Lead and coordinate key engineering talent pipeline programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, managing the nomination and selection process, coordinating rotational assignments, and driving engagement initiatives including communications, mentor pairing, participant knowledge sharing, collaboration, and learning opportunities.
- Create presentations and brief leadership on talent pipeline status, while identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities to enhance program effectiveness and participant development.
- Lead the planning and execution of Engineers Week (Eweek) and the annual patent and engineering & technology awards, ensuring successful event coordination and recognition of engineering achievements.
- Lead Segment Lunch and Learns on career progression and technology advancements/technical skills to promote professional development and knowledge sharing across the segment
- Coordinate with the recruiting team on university career fairs, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and objectives.
- Obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
- Travels up to 25% domestic.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field of study and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant work experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Prior experience working within an engineering organization in a technical or engineering-adjacent role, with direct exposure to engineering career paths, technical skill development, and how engineers progress, rotate, and are recognized within a large, matrixed environment.
- Proven track record leading engineering-focused talent programs or initiatives (e.g., engineering talent pipelines, rotational programs, technical awards, continuing education, or capability development).

- Exceptional communication, judgment/problem-solving, interpersonal, and team collaboration capabilities.

- Competent in effectively managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Flexible and adaptable in the face of changing priorities.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $153,500 - $260,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
