Job Description:
The Manager, MPES Demand Planning & SIOP – Maritime Sector leads demand planning, SIOP, and master scheduling activities for MPES and the broader Maritime business. This role oversees the MPES Demand Planning/SIOP/Master Scheduling team while consolidating and analyzing demand from multiple internal and external sources. The manager develops a comprehensive 18–24 month rolling demand plan, ensures alignment between demand, supply, and capacity, and drives the monthly demand review process. The position provides data-driven insights to support strategic decisions and operational execution across Maritime sites.
Essential Functions:
- Lead, develop, and manage the MPES Demand Planning/SIOP/Master Scheduling team.
- Define and document roles, responsibilities, and standard processes for demand planning, SIOP, and master scheduling.
- Serve as the primary SIOP and demand planning lead, ensuring demand, supply, and capacity alignment across Maritime sites.
- Consolidate and validate demand inputs from cross-functional partners and analyze sales orders, forecasts, market trends, and historical data.
- Maintain an accurate 18–24 month rolling demand plan and monitor changes, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead demand reviews within the SIOP cycle and update plans based on business priorities and operational capabilities.
- Partner with Supply Planning, Operations, and Master Scheduling to translate demand plans into executable production and capacity plans.
- Oversee master scheduling compliance with approved demand and SIOP outputs.
- Develop reports and metrics to track forecast accuracy, inventory health, schedule adherence, and overall SIOP performance.
- Communicate demand insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Apply analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, data quality, process efficiency, and tool adoption.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in all data analysis, reporting, and documentation through strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and influence across functions and levels without direct authority.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.
- Travel occasionally to Maritime sites as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience in planning, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain; OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; OR in lieu of a degree, minimum of 12 years of prior related experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in demand planning and/or SIOP, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry and supporting multiple sites.
- At least 2 years of experience leading or managing planning, SIOP, or master scheduling activities in a complex environment.
- 5 plus years of experience working with SI processes and principles.
- 5+ years of experience working with ERP systems, specifically Deltek Costpoint, in demand and inventory management.
- Minimum 7 years of experience with supply chain principles, including inventory optimization, capacity planning, and risk management.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working with demand planning software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Knowledge of aerospace and defense industry regulations, market dynamics, and customer requirements.
- Experience collaborating with Program Management and Engineering to support IPT requirements.
- Proficiency in MRP systems and related planning tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in master scheduling, capacity planning, production planning, and inventory management.
- Experience designing and documenting end-to-end demand planning and SIOP processes.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and drive consensus across functions and levels.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in demand planning, SIOP, and supply chain management.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $116,500 - $216,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
