Job Description:
We are seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager to grow our rapidly growing team in Camden, AR. The Industrial Engineer Manager communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation and coordinate activities required to complete required initiatives. Directs Industrial Engineering team and aligns objectives to support Sr. Manager and Site Level Leadership Strategy. Reviews and analyzes capacity analysis. Supports the development of manufacturing plans to improve efficiency and increase throughput. Provides mentoring and guidance to the Industrial Engineering team. Develops, implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers. Defines, develops and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems. Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes. Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products. Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of industrial engineering tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the manufacturing operations staff and company programs, methods, and practices.
- Reviews operation analysis, variance analysis, and method improvement studies.
- Assists in auditing labor standards for accuracy.
- Assists in the economic evaluation of suggestions and method improvement studies.
- Reviews work flow, layout, sequence, manpower and other related charts, graphs and reports.
- Assists in capital expenditure analysis, justification, and forecast.
- Assists in developing LEAN implementation plans and process improvements.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior Industrial Engineering experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior Industrial Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior Industrial Engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Experience with Manufacturing Simulation Software. (example: Siemens – ProModel)
- Proficient in the use of MS Project.
- LEAN Manufacturing and Six Sigma tool use.
