Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a manager with broad knowledge of project management to drive and oversee complex projects or processes with general oversight. This role communicates within and outside of its own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures. The manager will drive improvements to systems and processes across the site to help the achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on business results. 

Essential Functions:

• Ability to manage large projects or processes that span across multiple functions, steakholders, or departments
• Act as a consultant by providing guidance or training to other employees
• Communicates within and outside of own function or business, pulling teams together to collaborate and align on proposed solutions
• Explains, interprets, and gains cooperation on procedures and practices
• Work consists of making moderate to substantial improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area
• Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are complex and may require comprehensive information gathering, analysis and investigation to better understand the problem
• Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues, job areas or specialties
• Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues
• Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results
• Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts (budgets, operational plans, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Previous experience working in continuous improvement rolls across a production area
• Previous experience with project management
