Job Description:
Reporting directly to a Facility Manager, the Utility worker is responsible for providing janitorial services, maintenance support, miscellaneous relocations and any duties assigned. Cleaning manufacturing floor of excess equipment, internal relocation of furniture, and Supporting Maintenance (i.e., delivering material and tools to in house construction areas, etc.) as required at the facility. The Utility worker may also issue individual part requests, update, track status and issue material assembly kits required for projects. Perform inventory of material. The successful candidate must ensure they are efficient and timely in performing all duties.
Essential Functions:
- Assigns, directs and coordinates the work performed by a group of employees in accordance with oral or written instructions given by the supervisor.
- Leads and coordinates the group of employees in the performance of work to insure maximum productivity.
- Orders material and supplies required to maintain the manufacturing and base building equipment.
- Makes suggestions to improve processes, procedures, and the quality of the work.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience related to the role and responsibilities of the position
- Ability to monitor, interact and adjust as needed with Building Management System.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs electro-mechanical equipment and fixtures and allied apparatus as directed.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Johnson Controls Metasys knowledge.
- Knowledge of local codes and standards, I.E. Fire, Electrical, HVAC, General Building Standards
- Normally performs electrical and mechanical trades, but not restricted from performing duties or combinations of duties usually identified with other crafts.
- Observe equipment in operation or operates equipment if possible, to determine cause of trouble.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $61,000 - $70,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
