Job Description:

The Maintenance Mechanic will work under limited supervision performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions.

Essential Functions:

· 60%- Perform facilities maintenance duties, Carpentry, Flooring, Sheet Rock etc.

· 20%- Install new equipment.

· 5%- Repair HVAC equipment, general Electrical Maintenance, Production machinery upkeep/

· repair/ maintenance, general welding, millwright activities or carpentry.

· 10%- Conduct preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, electro-mechanical and

· mechanical work.

· 5%- General shop upkeep, cleaning, and/or organizing.

· Ability to work overtime as needed.

· Valid state issued Driver's License.

Qualifications:

· Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior maintenance or related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior maintenance or related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

· Considerable knowledge and understanding of service and installation processes of industrial equipment.

· Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, construction and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities

· Qualification for respirator and breathing air devices and work on fire/rescue teams.

· Continued education in a maintenance discipline and cross training into other disciplines within the department will be required as needed.
