Job Description:

We are looking for an Engineering Technician (Chemistry lab) to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. Performs a variety of duties in the mechanical and chemical areas of the laboratory. Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.  Works from specifications, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex instrumentation and computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests, and reports data in prescribed format. Operates as a laboratory technician conducting analyses per prescribed test methods.

Essential Functions:

• Handle, process, and mix chemicals.
• Sample and test raw materials, test propellants, test explosives. 
• Prepare and collect test data –
• Perform mathematical calculations.
• Clean, assemble and dismantle test hardware, equipment, and apparatus.
• Perform laboratory support work such as instrument calibration, laboratory cleaning, inventory, inspections, and material handling.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant chemistry experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related chemistry experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of testing energetics a plus.
