Title:  Electronics Assembly Technician

Job Description: 

The Operations Associate position is a bargaining represented position responsible for all aspects of electronic console assembly, electronic cabinets, cable harnesses, and/or electro-mechanical assemblies. Typical duties may include hand soldering, mechanical assembly, inspection, cable assembly, electronic console assembly, electronic system assembly, point-to-point wiring and repair of printed circuit boards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience with building console/cable/cabinet assemblies
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize assembling processes and improve product quality.
  • Able to obtain IPC-610/620 and/or J Standard 001 certification
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret electronic and mechanical diagrams and assembly instructions.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical assembly
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to solder paste, flux, and solder fumes.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot wire issues.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in mechanical assembly, hand soldering, and self-inspection
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in high tech electronics environment
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in manufacturing  
  • Completion of a certified technical school training

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $29.09. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
