Job Description: 
•    Determine design approaches and parameters related to power electronic applications
•    Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
•    Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results
•    Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
•    Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers
•    Write procedures to validate and verify compliance of functionality to design specifications
•    Assist in troubleshooting of systems and subsystems
•    Assist in the monitoring and resolution of DMSMS issues 

Power Electronic System/Subsystem Design and Verification

•    Design Power Electronic systems and subsytems in support of L3Harris converter and solid state circuit breaker designs utilizing the latest materials, tools and approaches
•    Design and modify test protocols to verify the operational state of various L3Harris converter and solid state circuit breaker products and accessories
•    Test, analyze, and evaluate the requirements compliance of L3 Harris converter and solid state circuit breaker products
•    Utilize tools such as oscilloscopes, DASA systems, function generators, Hardware in the loop, modeling and simulation
•    Support manufacturing of L3 Harris converter and solid state circuit breaker products

 

Qualifications:
•    Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field with interest in power electronic technologies

 

Preferred Skills:
•    Knowledge and/or experience with Power, Controls, DSP, MATLAB, LT Spice, Communication System protocols 
•    Experience in utilization of HIL tools
•    Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills
•    Knowledge of Matlab (Simulink)
•    Knowledge of and/or understanding circuit analysis and operational concepts
•    Understanding of electrical and electro-mechanical principals
•    Knowledge and/or experience with magnetics design
•    Familiarity with Windows computing environment

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $25.00 - $47.50. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $22.00 - $40.50. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
