Job Description:

This Cost Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for varied proposals, including components, parts, or an entire complex instrument such as a complex electronic system. Works from preliminary or final drawings and from partial or complete engineering information. May estimate labor costs, type of tools required and cost of such tools. May determine whether component parts would be manufactures or purchased. May review designs with engineering department and suggest changes to lower costs or facilitate manufacture. Estimates must be sufficiently accurate to be used as a basis for sales price commitment or the adoption of, or determination of, new apparatus designs. 

Essential Functions:

• Interfaces effectively with people at all levels and from diverse technical backgrounds, including vendors, manufacturing, engineering.
• Demonstrates operational discipline and ownership.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation.
• Operate personal computers or LAN terminals using both commercially available and internally generated software.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of prior relevant experience as a cost estimator.
• Experience with manufacturing electronics products.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools.
• Knowledge within SAP.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with ProPricer a plus.
• Experience with creating Basis of Estimates (BOE).
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $52,666.00 - $144,085.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
