Title: Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist

Job Description:
The CI Leader is pivotal in driving the continuous improvement culture across the company's products, systems, operations, and processes. This role is responsible for execution of business transformation and continuous improvement strategy as directed by Sr Manager Operational Excellence. The CI Leader will ensure the Lean framework is applied consistently and rigorously across the business, in alignment with best practices.
The role also encompasses the managemement of the Learning Management System (LMS) for Surface and C5S – Domestic Division. Information maintained in the LMS provides evidence of compliance to requirements in a variety of key audits including AS9100, DCMA, CMMI and internal.
Qualifications:
- Continuous Improvement Event Facilitation
- 6S Auditing
- Data Analysis and Interpretation in support of Decision Making
- Collects and evaluates operational, service, and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Gemba and Process Improvement Coaching
- Assign employee training based on role and Management defined requirements
- Maintain employee training records
- Generate/update online training modules with Captivate
- Troubleshoot issues preventing employees from accessing training modules and/or receiving credit for course completion
- Generate training status reports in support of customer and internal audits
- Bachelors and 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 14 years of prior related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to attain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent qualification. (Black Belt Preferred)
- Advanced Root Cause & Corrective Action Experience
- Experience in manufacturing and engineering environments.
- Exceptional facilitation and collaboration skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Competent in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making.
- PowerBI Experience (desired)
- Advanced Excel Skills
- SAP (desired)
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $125,000 - $175000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
