Job Description:
We are seeking an Associate, Manufacturing Engineer skilled in automation and controls to join our growing facility located in Camden, AR. The primary responsibilities include supporting and improving manufacturing processes through the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation and control systems. This role focuses on increasing efficiency, reducing downtime, and supporting safe, reliable production operations. The engineer will work closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and operations teams to develop and sustain automated production equipment and control solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, implement, and support manufacturing automation and control systems for production processes and equipment
- Support new equipment integration, commissioning, validation, and startup activities
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput and improve equipment reliability
- Troubleshoot controls and automation issues on manufacturing equipment and lead root cause corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production readiness, process capability, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and improve preventive maintenance strategies
- Support capital equipment projects, including requirements definition, vendor coordination, acceptance testing, and implementation
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing systems and equipment
- Provide technical support and training to operators, technicians, and manufacturing personnel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and root cause investigation skills
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience working in an energetic manufacturing facility preferred
