Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Associate, Manufacturing Engineer with a strong process background and experience in electrical or electronics manufacturing within a regulated industry. This role involves full ownership of manufacturing processes from planning through delivery, ensuring compliance with strict quality and regulatory standards such as International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Printed Circuits Boards. The ideal candidate will translate complex engineering requirements into practical, repeatable processes and collaborate across design, quality, and operations to drive efficiency and reliability. Success requires hands-on engagement with production, disciplined documentation, and the ability to maintain precision under demanding conditions.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain detailed work instructions and process documentation for electronic assemblies.
- Own assigned manufacturing processes.
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations and IPC guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize manufacturability.
- Support tooling design, qualification, and safe implementation into production.
- Monitor process performance using data-driven methods and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering discipline, such as Electrical, Mechanical, etc. preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, or similar).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with IPC standards; certification preferred.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and structured process improvement.
- Proficiency with ERP and PLM systems for managing parts and documentation.
- Working knowledge of Design tools and data analysis techniques.
