Job Description:
In this role, you will lead a team and be responsible for analyzing data, generating financial reports, conducting root cause variance analysis, and providing guidance and outlook on the financial status of your programs to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) and internal senior leadership.
Essential Functions:
- Act as a partner to the Business Area Director to assume responsibility for P&L Ownership of performance metrics including orders, sales, operating income, and Cash Flow. Monitor and analyze program costs, perform financial analysis for labor, material, subcontract and ODC estimates against budget and forecast.
- Articulate financial insights and recommendations clearly to leadership and other key stakeholders
- Prepare Estimates at Completion (EAC) for direct charge programs by working with cross functional IPT.
- Support major programs including Cost Plus, with contractual Earned Value (EVMS) reporting requirements.
- Preparation of EV deliverables, variance analysis for both internal management and customer.
- Support internal and external audit/compliance requirements
- Provide inputs for the monthly, quarterly and annual sales and cash forecasting process.
- Perform variance analysis to forecasted results (EAC, Sales, Profit and Cash), identifying specific drivers of deviations from estimates.
- Review weekly labor/material charges and perform necessary cost transfers.
- Prepare backup costing support for Fixed Price, Cost Plus and T&M monthly customer billings.
- Drive process improvements in line with business objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Focus on talent development and employee engagement. Establish clear performance goals and expectations for team members. Ensure periodic check-ins to status performanceAbility to obtain a US security clearance
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience using LN, COBRA, Hyperion, web reports/queries and advanced Excel skills highly preferred
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) is highly a preferred
- Experience with multiple contract types (CPFF, CPIF, FPIF, FFP, T&M etc.) is desired.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to multi-task and work ad-hoc requests on short notice
