What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Designing, developing, and documenting ILS solutions for both new and existing projects/products.
  • Supporting bids and proposals, offering technical insight to customers.
  • Defining and implementing comprehensive obsolescence management strategies for all projects and developing associated plans.
  • Producing and updating technical publications in line with design changes.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant and mandatory defence standards.

 

What you’ll bring 

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Hands-on engineering experience within the ILS field.
  • Expertise in a broad range of ILS/IPS methodologies and technical risk management.
  • Ability to understand and create solutions for common ILS challenges and issues.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in a small team setting.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Proficiency in writing concise briefs and presenting data effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience of marine engineering projects, or those in related industries, would be an advantage, but not essential.
