Supply Chain Senior Manager is responsible for all aspects of strategic execution of the supply chain function within the business units in the UK, Canada and India. This individual will report to the Maritime Sector Director of Supply Chain. The role will provide significant strategic support to the Division’s business units to include oversight of local Supply Chain (program integration, supply chain strategy development & execution of purchasing, subcontracts, and material proposals). The individual is the primary point of contact for all Supply Chain related activities, initiatives and will lead strategy, long term planning, compliance, large negotiations, savings, E3 Initiatives, Supply Chain metrics initiatives, and continuous improvement while collaborating with program management, operations, engineering, finance, and other support functions.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Develop program and product portfolio supply chain strategies which reduce risk, improve supply chain resiliency, as well as generate material and subcontract savings.
- Manages procurement processes and systems. Ensures processes are aligned with all Government and internal policies as well as prime contract requirements.
- Collaborates with division functional peers to identify strategic suppliers and subcontractors and work proactively to meet or exceed performance (cost/schedule/technical) needs.
- Identifies and executes continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance.
- Select, motivate, and lead a strong team.
- Support strategic new business pursuit activities as a critical subject matter expert for purchased and subcontracted systems and services.
- Manage performance against supply chain metrics to ensure program performance, company goals, and supplier performance objectives are being met and maintained.
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Requires broad management and leadership experience to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the function.
- Substantial previous experience in similar positions within Supply Chain
- Preferred degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline. Master’s degree in a related field, or MBA, desired.
- Experience in supply chain management (including sourcing, contracts, and/or subcontract management) in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Proven experience in leading high performing teams.
- Experience in negotiation of large complex subcontracts and agreements.
- Ability to manage change in an organization, reengineering its culture and approach to workload management.
- Knowledge and understanding of ERP and MRP systems.
- Ability to travel periodically; expected to be no more than 25%
