The Project Manager will oversee the delivery of engineering and manufacturing projects—ensuring outcomes are on time, within budget, to scope, and to quality standards. This role is responsible for effective project planning, risk management, financial performance, and stakeholder engagement across the project lifecycle.

 

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Deliver projects in line with company strategy, budgets, and timelines.
  • Manage project resources, risks, schedules, and quality assurance.
  • Prepare and report on project forecasts, financials, and progress (including EVM metrics).
  • Lead bid submissions, opportunity planning, and support business development activities.
  • Oversee commercial aspects such as change control, terms compliance, and revenue tracking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Customers).
  • Develop and maintain capture plans, risk registers, and business cases.
  • Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and organisational reporting requirements.
  • Drive clear communication, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.

 

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Degree in Project Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years managing multiple technically complex projects.
  • Strong financial, budgeting, and business analysis skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management ability.
  • Proficient in Prince2 or similar methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience driving process improvement and managing change.
  • Defence industry experience preferred.
  • High attention to detail with strong MS Office and MS Project skills.
  • ERP system experience and ability to work independently.
