About the role
This role supports the day-to-day operations of the Finance function, working closely with the Financial Controller. You will assist in preparing monthly financial reports and contribute to the activities required to deliver accurate and timely results. The position also includes a range of ad hoc tasks to support the broader Finance team.
What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage foreign exchange updates and revaluations
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including depreciation and CAPEX tracking
- Handle intercompany billing and reconciliations
- Support audits and statutory compliance (including FBT)
- Administer timesheets (Deltek T&E) and provide payroll backup
- Contribute to process improvements and internal controls (SOX)
- Provide broader finance team support and assist with ad hoc tasks
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following experience and skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborative team player
- Experience with ERP systems
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role (manufacturing industry experience desirable)
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
