L3Harris in Brighton are part of Release Systems and the Mission Avionics sector operating in the Aerospace domain. Our mission-critical release systems equipment is on most major airborne fighter platforms worldwide, including the F-35, along with other aircraft like the Gripen and Typhoon. Brighton designs, manufactures and tests a large portion of its release systems portfolio. This facility offers 48,500 square feet of manufacturing space for the development of high-performance, multi-station solutions used to launch air-to-air and air-to-ground munitions from bay, wing or fuselage stations.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Efficiently and effectively manager the procurement of all production, non-production materials and subcontract requirements to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services.
  • Review, select and manage a best value, reliable and performing supplier base in accordance with customer and contractual requirements.
  • Represent procurement and support the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Using the MRP system to support production requirements.
  • Recommend and implement industry best practice approaches to material procurement.
  • Work closely with production control to achieve material requirements.
  • Laise with Suppliers and Quality Manager to evaluate any supplier quality deficiencies in a timely proactive manner.
  • Ensure compliance to contract specific and procurement terms and conditions.  

 

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Previous experience of procurement within an engineering or manufacturing biased industry.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and follow through to conclusion.
  • Highly motivated and performance focused with good interpersonal and negotiating skills.
