What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
· Responsible for ensuring the site Security requirements are adhered to for the Barrow site by ensuring compliance with GovS007 and applicable customer and Corporate Security requirements.
· Site Access and Visitor Control
· Control of classified assets in accordance with customer contractual requirements
· Ensure compliance and promote best practice and continuous improvements to all aspects of site and personnel security
· Work collaboratively with the UK Security team on improvement initiatives and security projects
· Conduct internal ISO27001 assessments and support external assessments
· Security Awareness – Ensure a high level of security awareness and compliance on the Barrow site in-line with Security Awareness Training Plans, including conducting new starter inductions and bespoke training sessions where applicable
· Security Advice and Support – Provide advice and guidance to staff on all physical, personnel and procedural security matters
· Security Incident Management – Management of Barrow - based security incidents including containment, internal reporting, actions and lessons learned.
· Deputizing for Security team staff on other sites as required

What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
· Ability to prioritise, problem solve and manage a varied workload
· Self-motivated, positive and proactive approach essential
· DISA Security Controller and/or Document Control Training
· ISO27001 internal auditor / implementer training or experience
· IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate
