About your next Challenge as a Senior Supervisor, Operations Management:
Reporting to the Manager, Operations Management the Operations Supervisor is responsible to manage, organize, prioritize and direct the operations of his or her department to meet production schedules, meet the quality criteria, deadlines and costs.
Whatever your area of expertise or field of study (maintenance and repair of aircraft and / or components, aircraft maintenance mechanics or avionics systems, structure, manufacturing, composites, etc), we are looking for a person to join our team of supervisors in place. What will you do:

  • Maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with all employees;
  • Plan and organize the daily work to meet customer requirements while meeting the quality criteria, budget and delivery dates;
  • Perform management of working hours of its staff;
  • Check and approve employee’s timesheets;
  • Communicate to is working teams of project progress in relation to the objectives and challenges of the organization;
  • Support teams in solving technical problems;
  • Ensure that staff has the skills to perform work (coaching for the job and training) and encourage the next generation of effective leadership competence;
  • Promote and ensure the health and safety of employees in accordance with applicable rules and regulations;
  • Be a change agent, participate and encourage employees to propose continuous improvement plans.

 

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • College degree or University degree in a relevant subject such as engineering, operations management and aerospace; or equivalent experience;
  • Five (5) years of experience in aeronautical operations management and pre-flight operations;
  • Experience in supervision team (unionized employees, an asset);
  • Knowledge of SAP;
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Being customer oriented service and results while adopting an approach integrates with the organization's values;
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both languages (French and English).         

 

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
