Title:  CF188 Life Support Equipment and Systems Technician

About your next Challenge as a CF188 Life Support Equipment and Systems Technician:
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the CF188 Life Support Systems and Equipment Technician is responsible to perform on and off aircraft Aircraft Life Support Systems and Equipment (LSS & ALSE) maintenance activities in support of First and Second line maintenance Units.

What will you do: 

  • Perform work on aircraft life support systems and equipment (on and off aircraft) in accordance with Canadian Forces Technical Instruction (CFTO), technical drawings, work instructions and other applicable technical references;
  • Maintain necessary ALSE-related test and support equipment;
  • Keep current with current and new technologies (hardware / software); 
  • Conduct maintenance activities on related systems, such as:
    o    Aircraft Life Support Equipment;
    o    Aircraft Life Support Systems;
    o    Liquid Oxygen (LOX) System;
    o    Oxygen Storage;
    o    Oxygen Purging;
    o    Fire Extinguishing System;
    o    Ejection System;
    o    Windshield and Canopy System.
  • Provide Hand-on support to Military and L3 Harris technicians and Units on a required basic;
  • Report any un-airworthy conditions discovered;
  • Work in close collaboration with military personnel; and
  • Carry out duties as directed by the Site Manager and L3Harris

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience;

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of DMS;Knowledge of SAP;
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Endorsement on CF188 (asset); and
  • Experience in LOX storage and replenishment.

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):


•    Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
•    Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
•    Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
