Job Description: 

Specialist, Material Estimator is responsible for the creation and overseeing of Material proposals to support the Bid and Proposal process.  Estimator manages project initiatives of moderate importance to the organization with general oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain practices, processes and approaches. Makes moderate improvements in processes, systems, or products. Works to achieve operational targets that have moderate impact on departmental results.



Essential Functions: 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Moderate understanding of proposal process and compliance requirements 
  • Ability to create, manage, and support proposals 
  • Ablility to engage with other functional areas supporting proposals
  • Analytical skills and ability to field questions regarding proposals
  • Ability to solve problems with the motivation to improve effectiveness of job area
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Greenville TX as needed



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience using SAP
  • Minimum 4 years experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with heavy emphasis on Excel
  • Must be a US citizen

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Professional communication skills (written & verbal) 
  • Ability to interact with employees of all levels
  • Self-Starter and goal driven individual with desire to attain results
  • Organized individual with the ability to work in fast paced environment

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $71,500-$132,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $82,500-$153,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
