Job Description:
Lead, Material Estimator is responsible for the creation and overseeing of Material proposals to support the Bid and Proposal process. Estimator manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
Essential Functions:
- Comprehensive understanding of proposal process and compliance requirements in order to support estimating team members and proposal audits
- Ability to create, manage, and support complex proposals
- Responsible for bid review/approvals for fellow team members
- Capable of explaining material proposal deliverables/results to Program Office and Site Leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Advanced knowledge and experience using SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Skilled in coaching, guiding, and training fellow team members and others outside the department
- Previous experience with leading individuals/teams
- Highly engaged with other functional areas supporting proposals
- Prominent analytical skills and ability to field questions regarding proposals
- Problem solving capabilities with desire to improve processes and tools

- Strong, professional communication skills (written & oral) and ability to interact with employees of all levels
- Self-Starter and goal driven individual with desire to attain results
- Organized individual with the ability to work in fast paced environment
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $99,500 - $184,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
