Job Description:

 

Position reports directly to the Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) Segment Business Development (BD) Capture Excellence Director. The BD Price To Win (PTW) Manager is an individual contributor position analyzing the Price To Win position for priority IMS Segment business pursuits. Interactions include developing pricing position data to be included in briefings to Segment and Global Business Development (L3H HQ) Leadership.  The Price to Win manager is a blend of primary and secondary competitive intelligence research with advanced data synthesis, model building, testing, pricing, and strategy development. This position requires a unique blend of technical, business, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to work in a team environment in order to support capture of competitive defense contracts. The workload is dynamic, engaging, and directly affects the success of the company to win new business.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct Price to Win analysis in support of strategic captures ranging in size and complexity
  • Collect and analyze strategic and tactical competitive intelligence from open source data
  • Conduct advanced data synthesis, model building, testing, pricing, and strategy development
  • Lead data extraction engagements with Subject Matter Experts
  • Build predictive cost and offering models to develop PTW and design-to-cost recommendations, which predict competitor bids within 5% of their actual submittals
  • Collaborate in a team environment in order to support capture of competitive defense contracts

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor Degree with a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience.Graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or other related fields which require significant analytical coursework, or significant related experience
  • Demonstrated exceptional understanding of Microsoft Excel and modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to search and extract information from large databases and ability to analyze conflicting and incomplete data to reach analytically-based conclusions
  • Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of financial modeling and analysis
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems architecture and complex systems
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Security Top Secret clearance

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $104K-193K. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $119K-222K.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
