Job Description:
• Manage highly experienced professionals, supervisors, or managers and often lead one or more departments.
• Communicate with internal and external parties on strategic matters to influence senior leadership on new concepts, practices, and approaches.
• Establish overall direction for new processes, systems, and solutions, and implement strategies and operational plans that impact mid- to long-term business area achievements.
• Provide advanced management, business knowledge, leadership capabilities, and broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Advanced business knowledge, general management, and leadership capabilities.
• Broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines within the organization.
• Experience in Factory Management of complex assemblies, electromechanical assembly, Make/Buy strategy, Power BI tool enhancement, and MES/ERP integration/migration.
• Familiarity with FactoryLogix.
• Investigate and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies for emerging programs.
• Provide technical input on product designs for manufacturing ease and cost considerations.
• Examine early assembly prototyping/testing to provide feedback in the design process.
• Identify and justify capital equipment needs for capacity and capability expansion.
• Manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance involving cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical mentorship and contribute to CAM and IPT activities.
• Review and approve manufacturing workflows, processes, and drawings.
• Lead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S and Tool Control.
• Up to 5% travel may be required.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods in composites, metals, and electronics.
• Experience leading small teams and technical writing.
• Background in aviation or military systems manufacturing.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, ideally Creo.
• Experience with Power BI, data analytics, and Lean practices like 5S and Six Sigma.
