Job Description:
A Configuration Manager provides configuration and data management support to their assigned program(s). As a Senior Associate Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for providing configuration management support to programs you are assigned to, as well as CM SME’s and Leads planning, managing, and reporting on the documentation created to fulfill customer configuration. You will be responsible for ensuring consistency, integrity, and accuracy of system documentation, drawings, design artifacts, baselines, and related configuration information throughout the product lifecycle. You will be afforded the opportunity to leverage your prior experience, along with the training you receive at L3Harris, to provide high-level support and guidance to all departments supporting the program. This includes Program Management, Engineering, Contracts, Subcontracts, Quality, and other functions, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.
Essential Functions:
- Basic experience and knowledge of version control and lifecycle management tools, such as: Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Rational ClearQuest, Windchill, JIRA, and/or other similar applications.
- Creating and maintaining configuration baselines supporting developmental, production, and sustainment programs.
- Coordinating Engineering changes ensuring approval requirements are met and implementation is managed.
- Reviewing and approving/rejecting formal program documentation, coordinating with contracts organizations and customer regarding new or changing requirements, and integrating with program teams to coordinate deliveries.
- Ensuring identification, definition, implementation, release and maintenance of data items and Supplier and Contract Data Requirements List (SDRL and CDRL) schedules are in accordance with program requirements.
- Proactively identifying data errors and ensuring accuracy.
- Enforcing the protection of Intellectual Property.
- Direct the Configuration Change Board (CCB) process, including the review, modification, and approval of documents, drawings, and associated records. Ensure clarity, compliance, and completeness in all change-related documentation.
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of EIA-649B or EIA-649C and MIL-STD-973 Configuration Management Principles as they apply to Hardware and/or Software.
- Understanding of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5M -1994 or later.
- Experience using version control tools such as Agile PLM, SolidWorks, ClearCase, Subversion, Confluence, Windchill, or similar.
- Proficient with MS Office products.
- Ability to work independently under moderate supervision; have a high degree of attention to detail and be trusted to enable on-time quality delivery of all required deliverable documents for multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.
- One or more relevant Configuration Management certification(s) such as CMPIC or NDIA.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented self-starter.
- Expert time management ability and sense of urgency in meeting critical deadlines.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the Greater D.C. areas is Min $67,000.00 - $124,000.00 Max. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
