Job Description:  

The Agile Development Group in Ashburn, Va is looking for a Manager within the Material Management function that will lead a team of up to 6 employees who are responsible for the effective and efficient acquisition process for all program identified materials.  This team will support the manufacturing of next-generation technologies for Agile Development Group programs which includes Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), Advanced Sensing, and Weapons and Sensor Suite products.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Assesses supplier risk and develops/implements mitigation strategies. 
  • Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.
  • Evaluates and approves supply chain labor and material proposals prior to customer review
  • Develop strategies, implement plans, and track progress for cost savings initiatives
  • Monitor and report industry trends and internal metrics that influence Supply Chain activities within the business
  • Lead a professional level team of Materials Program Managers to deliver on business objectives in alignment with Annual Operating Plan requirements
  • Manage internal processes to ensure compliance to Federal Acquisition Regulations, Material Management Accounting Standards, and Cost Accounting Standards
  • Works with PM, IPT leads, and/or CAMs to provide ROMs / labor estimates.
  • Able to obtain and maintain DoD clearance and additional clearances as required.

 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing; preferably experience in Shop Operations.  Operations Planning, Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement also desirable.
  • Working experience with execution of earned value management (EVM)
  • Experience with leadership teams of 5 or more
  • Knowledge and understanding of FAR and DFARs
  • Prior experience in using computer-based project management tools associated with resource planning, scheduling and cost monitoring is desirable.
  • Experience with Capital Equipment justification and BOEs
  • Experience with Power BI or data analytics
