Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for full lifecycle Project Engineering support for a range of hardware, manufacturing, and systems integration efforts utilizing Agile Methodologies and tools.
  • Responsible for successfully leading a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments in a growing business area.
  • Develops, oversees, and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering projects within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
  • Regularly interface with all levels of engineering, manufacturing/operations, and management to establish, measure, and report performance metrics
  • Review status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
  • Leads proposal development efforts related to determining scope, execution schedule, material budgeting, subcontracts, and labor estimates.
  • Assesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks and opportunities.
  • Estimate resource, material, tooling, and facility needs for the project/product.
  • Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
  • Understands how to develop a schedule using Earned Value (EV) and manage a project using the Earned Value Indicators.
  • Participate in small teams and perform a wide variety of tasks
  • Must have ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and will have regular contact with customers.
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Technical Background of hardware product design, development, manufacturing, operations, integration, and test.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with managing PLM specifically BOMs, drawing trees, and supply chain
  • Experience with best practices for project engineering and program execution
  • Experience in managing multi-discipline programs across multiple locations
  • Experience in hardware/software integration programs
  • Experience managing projects with budgets of $10M+
  • Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Experience with managing execution of hardware/software development programs and/or integration programs
  • Active Secret clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • STEM degree preferred
  • Experience with Agile SW development process and tools.
  • Experience with aviation, missile, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) programs.
  • Experience in manufacturing and operations.
  • Experience leading Government Contract development programs.
  • Experience or knowledge of Government contract acquisition lifecycle a plus.
  • Experience with management of design to cost activities.
  • Experience with program, pursuit, and proposal activities.
