Job Description:
As an Engineering Technician, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced production and R&D environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail. The Engineering Technician will support the engineering design process, lead special projects, serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product quality and validation. This role involves analyzing technical data, providing on-site assistance, developing technical content, and mentoring team members
In this role, you will be a part of the Agile Development Group which is a division that specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.
Essential Functions:
- Performs all duties required to assist with the acceptance testing of various products and subassemblies.
- Run automated and manual test scripts for acceptance testing, software/firmware loading, and sensor calibration.
- Operate custom and off-the-shelf equipment including network analyzers, power meters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, etc.
- Identify, document, and perform basic troubleshooting on non-conforming product.
- Recommends updates for existing processes and reviews test documentation in support of engineering.
- Verifies quality of tested product. Interprets test results to validate compliance with drawing and other specified requirements.
- Identifies and corrects conditions that affect employee safety; upholding corporate safety standards.
- Work in a team setting collaborating with manufacturing, planning and engineering.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying 25-50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Walking, bending, sitting, standing, climbing, and reaching for prolonged periods of time on a regular basis.
- Ability to seize, grasp, turn, hold, and operate manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Willingness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises.
- Willingness and ability to comply with all applicable PPE requirements (respirators, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with C++, C#, Python, Java, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Test Stand
- Experience in electronics assembly, with a focus on harness assembly
- Experience in Factory Acceptance testing of aerospace system or other industries
- Proficient in soldering, crimping, and using hand tools for assembly
- Proficient in using testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification preferred
- J-STD-001 certification preferred
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and interconnect diagrams
- Excellent people skills to include working in a diverse, and dynamic team environment

- Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
- Active Secret clearance is desired but not required
- Experience working in an environment that implements ESD and FOD controls
- Knowledge and understanding of product quality processes
