Job Description:

As an Engineering Technician, you will work in a dynamic, fast paced production and R&D environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail. The Engineering Technician will support the engineering design process, lead special projects, serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product quality and validation. This role involves analyzing technical data, providing on-site assistance, developing technical content, and mentoring team members

In this role, you will be a part of the Agile Development Group which is a division that specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform all duties required to assist with the fabrication and integration of complex electromechanical systems.
  • Provide continuous feedback during initial prototyping and development phases. Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver projects with evolving customer requirements
  • Lead special projects, owning the status and documentation of special projects throughout their lifecycle
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing operations. Lead manufacturing cells or areas, ensuring alignment with engineering intent.
  • Analyze and develop levels of product repair, refurbishment, and maintenance. Formulate recommendations regarding sparing of equipment, repair parts, and test/support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot design and manufacturing discrepancies and implement root cause corrective actions.
  • Review and provide inputs on technical drawings and process documentation.
  • Support field testing and troubleshooting, providing on-site assistance during customer tests and demonstrations
  • Actively mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous growth
  • Identifies and corrects conditions that affect employee safety, upholding corporate safety standards
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying 25-50 pounds on a regular basis.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 yrs post Secondary/Associates Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 0 to 2 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Wide breadth of experience in the fabrication and integration of complex aerospace systems
  • Experience in all phases of product design and fabrication ranging from prototyping to initial R&D to full production
  • Proficiency with a wide variety of fabrication, test, and diagnostic tools
  • Strong understanding of product quality processes and standards

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $25.00/hr - $46.63/hr. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $21.63/hr - $40.38/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
