Job Description:
As an Electronics Technician, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced production and R&D environment with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail. In this role, you will fabricate, test, and troubleshoot complex wiring harnesses and electronic systems for various unmanned aerospace applications.
In this role, you will be part of the Agile Development Group, a division that specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS/UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies—combining small-company agility with big-company expertise.
Essential Functions:
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other technicians to resolve design and production issues
• Assemble, route, and install wiring harnesses according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Assemble custom test equipment using engineering drawings, interconnect diagrams, and mechanical/electrical skills
• Populate circuit cards using approved soldering techniques for both through-hole and surface-mount components
• Inspect and test harness assemblies for continuity, shorts, and proper operation using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment
• Diagnose and repair issues with wiring harnesses, connectors, and related components
• Provide constructive feedback on engineering designs to improve manufacturability and functionality
• Recommend updates to existing processes and work instructions as needed
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with manufacturing, planning, and engineering
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying 25–50 pounds regularly
• Engage in walking, bending, sitting, standing, climbing, and reaching for extended periods
• Use hands to seize, grasp, turn, hold, and operate manufacturing tools and equipment
• Comply with all applicable PPE requirements (respirators, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of related experience, OR a 2‑year post‑secondary/Associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Active DoD Secret Clearance preferred; ability to obtain one is required
• Experience in electronics assembly with an emphasis on harness assembly
• Proficiency in soldering, crimping, and using hand tools for assembly
• Proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
• IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 certification preferred
• J‑STD‑001 certification preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and interconnect diagrams
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse, dynamic team environment
• Strong work ethic and commitment to organizational success
• Experience in environments with ESD and FOD controls
• Knowledge and understanding of product quality processes
