Job Description:
Performs production support functions involved with coordinating the release of products and materials to the production floor in conjunction with production planners. These production control functions include the preparation the proper documentation in coordination with the production schedule, updating production status tool (i.e. Capability Models, Gemba boards, etc.). The role also would include expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules when necessary. It will also include input to management on potential shortages, production problems, documentation concerns, and anything else that may impact the meeting of the production schedule.
Essential Functions:
- Support, prepare, and closeout, all documentation required to execute within the production process.
- Prepare production kits of the material needed to complete a production work order.
- Ability to work within the companies ERP system to electronically enter in production requirements, create production work orders, issue raw material to the production orders, and completely execute the production order closeout process.
- Support the planning and movement of the material supply necessary to maintain the production schedule.
- Requires independent action and a high degree of initiatives to resolve issues.
- Maintain effective communications with applicable company personnel and functions that review and define schedule compliance as defined by the customer.
- Provide guidance associated with material, and product movement within the manufacturing process.
- Well organized, ability to plan, organize, communicate and direct the day-to-day activities of the production schedule to meet deadlines.
- Make recommendations for process improvements and new procedures.
- Support individual contributor who works autonomously and in a team environment.
- Communicates with contacts within and outside the department on matters that involve explaining assignments, solving problems, and initiating process improvements.
- Promote cordial relationships and foster and maintain a favorable business profile with customers, suppliers, co-workers, industry and professional associations, government agencies and the local community.
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship
- Requires developing job knowledge/skills.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

- ERP System experience – Costpoint, SAP, or equivalent
