Job Description:

 

The Global Trade Compliance Data Analyst is a full-time position within the Corporate Global Trade function at L3Harris reporting to the Director and Counsel, Global Trade Compliance. This position is in-office at the Arlington VA location. The Principal, Global Trade Compliance Data Analyst will collect, extract, and analyze data to detect trends, provide forecasts, and enable Global Trade Compliance leadership to perform risk analysis, determine root causes, and develop responsive solutions. The position requires understanding complex data, communicating the data to leadership, and having substantial impact in a highly regulated environment. Trade compliance expertise is preferred but not required, however, experience in data analysis and data collection methodology and care for data integrity is key.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Collect and keep trade compliance data organized, accurate, and audit ready. Assist with data collection in preparation for internal assessments, audits, etc.
  • Turn raw data into actionable insights for investigations and compliance monitoring.
  • Detect patterns and forecast trends.
  • Debrief Global Trade Compliance colleagues and management on analysis and findings. 
  • Support leadership with dashboards, reports, and predictive analysis.
  • Track and support follow-up on corrective actions related to CAVs, self-assessments, audits, etc.
  • Track and monitor investigations in case management systems.
  • Debrief Global Trade Compliance colleagues and management. 
  • Experience with systems and tools including, but not limited to Power BI, SAP, Tableau, SQL, and Python.
  • Provide support to assist with fulfilling the requirements of the Consent Agreement
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, integrity, and discretion.
  • 5-10% travel domestically

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Adaptable and flexible mindset in a rapidly changing, growth stage environment is a plus.
  • Experience in compliance, audit, or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with export controls a plus.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience working under a Consent Agreement.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to support the functions of the job.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $98,500 - $182,500,000 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
