Job Description:
L3Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation is seeking motivated Software Engineer to join our Range and Test Solutions software development team.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret Clearance required.
The Specialist, Software Engineer Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. May manage projects or processes with general supervision. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and integrate software for the test instrumentation, data acquisitions and recording, maintenance/status logging, client/server, and database application systems.
- Experience in generating and creating software requirements and software design documents
- Perform trade studies, root cause analysis, and other software technical investigations
- This position requires an Active DoD security clearance (Secret or higher)
- Ability , ability to travel, working extended hours
Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of software development experience.
Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC)
Experience with system/software requirements management
Experience in one or more following: t, GUI software design and development, client/server architectures, database application development, Windows and Linux server administration
Experience in one or more of the following programming languages; C, C++, C#, Java, and Python
Experience working within the integrated product team framework
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with static code analysis tools and reverse engineering tools
- Experience with application and analysis of the DISA Software Application STIG requirements for CSCIs under development
- Experience with UML in tandem with MBSE modeling
- Experience with Realtime/Embedded Software Development
- Experience and application of server virtualization and containerization technologies
- Experience with IDE/OS’s/Development Frameworks:
- Qt Enterprise
- Linux (RHEL)
- Windows Desktop and Server OS
- Visual Studio/.Net
- Realtime OS’s (VxWorks, Integrity)
- Experience with Oracle RDMS, SQL Server, and/or SQL Lite database tools
- Knowledge and application of Agile methodology and DEVOPS process for software development
- Knowledge of IBM DOORs and Rational Publishing Engine (RPE)
- Knowledge/familiarity with modern user interface technologies
- Knowledge and application of JAVA/JRE/JDK/JavaFX/Tomcat server

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $118,658 - $177,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
